This museum represents the oldest historical building in Capri and it partly gives access to wheelchair users, even if architectural barriers do not yield all the path accessible, but even practicing it just in part allow the people to admire the magnificence of this building.
The Charterhouse is subdivided into two essential blocks: the ‘upper house’ (church, refectory, cloisters, chapter house, prior’s flat), the realm of silence, prayer and strict seclusion, and the ‘lower house’, which includes workplaces (storerooms, kitchens, cellars and rooms for processing agricultural products).
The Charterhouse is the venue for prestigious events of cultural interest.
