The Regional Natural Park of Otranto and Santa Maria di Leuca, which extends over the territory of the municipalities of Alessano, Andrano, Castrignano del Capo, Castro, Corsano, Diso, Gagliano del Capo, Ortelle, Otranto, Santa Cesarea Terme, Tiggiano and Tricase with its Punta Palascìa lighthouse, the easternmost garrison in Italy, and the numerous caves where important fossil remains and evidence of the presence of Palaeolithic and Neolithic man have been found, now becomes more inclusive, inaugurating the Parco delle Querce di Castro trail designed to guarantee maximum accessibility for the motor disabled and a series of paths dedicated to accompanied blind people.
