ACCESS RULES
-The Royal Palace has certain access rules to allow the public to visit the exhibitions safely. Please read the instructions listed below carefully before entering or purchasing your ticket:
Reservation is not compulsory for access to the exhibitions, but strongly recommended to avoid waiting. On the busiest days such as Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, admission to the exhibitions cannot be guaranteed for unbooked visitors. Ticket offices are open during opening hours.
Visit the Tickets and Reservations page to access pre-sales. Bring your reservation with you, either printed or in digital display format: we will check it at the entrance.
It is important to arrive on time and no more than 5 minutes before the reservation time.
To find out about opening days and times, please consult the Opening Hours page.
Groups are admitted subject to booking and the procedures described on the Organise Groups page.
It is recommended that you keep your distance (at least 1 metre from other people) in the rest areas and on the tour route, and follow the routes indicated by the signs and directions provided by our staff.
There is a cloakroom on each floor of the building, where visitors must store helmets, backpacks, bulky bags and umbrellas; coats or other personal clothing will not be collected. For reasons of space, the cloakroom cannot accommodate suitcases, bulky luggage, scooters and folding bicycles, which cannot under any circumstances be taken into the rooms for security reasons.
-The Royal Palace is accessible to visitors with disabilities.
If you use your own wheelchair you will be able to reach the main entrance to the Palace on Piazza Duomo completely independently.
If the exhibition you have chosen to see is on the first floor, signal your arrival to the custodian staff – first door on the left beyond the courtyard – who will activate to accompany you to the lift.
During your visit you will have no difficulty in visiting all the rooms of the exhibition you have chosen and reaching the available toilets.
If you need a wheelchair:
Report your arrival to the custodial staff – first door on the left beyond the courtyard – who will take steps to provide you with a wheelchair. You will temporarily be given an identity card and the staff will accompany you to the lift leading to the first floor.
