The ‘Pompeii for All Route’ is aimed at people with motor disabilities. Over 3.5 km of the route, from the entrance of Piazza Anfiteatro to the sanctuary of Venus, walking along the main streets of the city with access to the most significant buildings and domus. The route allows everyone, people with mobility difficulties, parents with prams, but also all visitors who prefer a more comfortable itinerary, to visit the archaeological area in the most complete and easy way possible.
In some sections of the routes, wheelchair users with mobility difficulties may find it difficult to proceed on their own, due to the presence of critical transit points caused by the nature of the archaeological area.
In addition, the experimentation of the CON-ME electronic bracelet, for use by blind and visually impaired persons, capable of sending signals aimed at guaranteeing the safeguarding and safety of visitors within the site, was initiated.
It will be possible for deaf people to make use of a dedicated accompaniment, to better enjoy the Pompeii site and fully grasp the charm and atmosphere of the places thanks to operators specialised in LIS.
